What are developmental milestones?
Developmental milestones are markers used to measure a child's growth in the following five primary areas of development:

Why is the developmental milestone curriculum important?
It is important to ensure learners that are promoted to grade 1, have achieved all the necessary developmental milestones to ensure growth as a health, happy, well-adjusted individual.
The milestones a child reaches will largely determine what he/she will be able to learn and accomplish.
Although every child is unique and will grow at their own pace; advancing through the different stages of development is crucial for all children.
